Who Will Win Best in Show?

The Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show...did you watch last night? I was so disappointed that the bulldog placed second in the non-sporting group. First place would have been my choice. What a cutie!

Fannie was bummed this morning, after hearing the news.

Tonight, the toy group is up and we're looking forward to the Brussels Griffon. What if a Griffie places first in the group? What if it wins Best in Show?? Ooooh, the excitement!

Sprout believes a Griffie will win tonight. Don't you
love her optimism?

What's your pick for winner?

Funny Faces! Recent Dog Adoptions

Hello, Doggy! Sampson, Jake and Willie~ Three boys rescued from abandonment.
First came Sampson, the Neapolitan Mastiff. My friend Joyce was watching a local news broadcast that showcases homeless animals each day. Sampson caught her eye and she scheduled a meet-and-greet. He was just what she needed after the recent loss of her beloved Rottie, Lucas. Welcome home, Sampson!
Next came Jake. A miniature poodle picked up as a stray, his days numbered at a nearby pound. My son, Bennie spotted him on Petfinder and immediately drove to the pound and adopted him. He will need lots of training and guidance but with determination and consistency, he should prove to be a wonderful house dog. Welcome home, Jake!

Then there's Willie. Wee (wee) Willie Winky. A very large, 6 year old Brussels Griffon I stumbled upon on Craigslist. His owner was placed in a home for Alzheimer patients and Willie has been tossed around to a few places before settling in here. He has some issues with peeing in the house but we're hoping with a watchful eye, frequent trips outside and plenty of love and encouragement, his bad habit will diminish. He has blended quite nicely with the girls, gets along great with everyone and is sweet as can be. Other than his potty problem, he's the perfect addition to our home. Welcome home, Willie!
Please, if you are considering a new dog, visit your local shelter, humane society, petfinder or Craiglist first. There are so many animals in need of a loving home.

Update: It's been 4 days. Where does one Brussels end and the other begin? Amazing!
